Outer Journey

Today was a relaxing day we got to sleep in this morning and
didn’t have any scheduled plans which was nice, we were allowed to do whatever
so naturally we got a slow start on the day. Our day began with getting
breakfast then coming back to the room to finish our blogs. After blogging we
got ready to start our day, we didn’t have any plans set in stone, so we walked
out to the French square and had lunch at Stanley, it was a nice little restaurant,
and everyone was very friendly, I would recommend it. After lunch we went into
a cute little boutique named Jackie’s and shopped a little bit. After we were
done shopping we met up with some of our classmates to check out the French market
and buy some souvenirs for our friends and family. Once we were done shopping
we went up to the balcony on Muriel’s Jackson Square and admired the view and
people watched. We sat here for a couple hours just enjoying ourselves and
taking in the last day of our time in New Orleans, it was so peaceful sitting
on the balcony looking over the French quarter seeing all the street
performers, the artists, hearing the people rejoice and just enjoying life and
the lively atmosphere of New Orleans. I enjoyed the atmosphere of today much
more than on the weekend it was a much more peaceful and enjoyable atmosphere I
would rather have this setting of the city than the hectic one over the weekend.
Inner Journey

Today was a very peaceful day I had no plans to worry about,
no timeline to follow, I was just able to relax and have a fun last day. During
breakfast I felt a little tired just because its been such a long and strenuous
week here. When getting ready I did feel a little anxious because I was worried
about making our plans for the day and what we were going to. Once we started
on our way to the quarter I was feeling a little better because I knew that
there would be plenty to do when we got there so I was more focused on just
having fun and enjoying the moment. Once arrived at the French Quarter I was
truly enjoying myself and the atmosphere it was one of the most fun times I’ve
had here this week. My favorite moment of this day was sitting on the balcony
at Muriel’s Jackson Square and watching the city and the people. Everything in
this moment was so peaceful and perfect, the quarter was surprisingly calm, you
could hear the soft jazz in the background and I was just enjoying the company
of my friends. At this moment I felt truly at peace with everything it was so
nice and freeing. I haven’t gotten to experience this city at such a calming
and relaxing state it was truly soothing. Today was by far my favorite day of
the trip because I felt like I was actually a part of the city and not just a
tourist.
